Amalgame Studio, founded by Emmie Massias and Marine Col, stands as an emerging design studio exploring non-linear processes of research and experimentation. With a focus on investigating territorial and material cultures, the studio embraces the interplay of contrasts and contradictions inherent in raw materials, processes and their narratives. 

An amalgam refers to a blend or mixture of elements, scientifically known as an alloy of mercury with another metal. 
   In French, the expression faire un amalgame is often used to suggest a misleading generalisation or a confusion of entities.
    For us, this reflects how we process our diverse influences together through a playful approach, combining forms, materialities and techniques encountered through our visual practice.
